Cloud syncPro

Keep FluxTime in step across iPhone, iPad and Mac, and restore your data after changing devices or reinstalling.

Cloud sync keeps your goals, tasks, journal and categories the same on every device you use FluxTime on. It also backs your data up, so you can restore it on a new device or after reinstalling the app.

Flux Pro. Cloud sync is part of Flux Pro. Without it, your data stays on the device you entered it on. See Free and Pro.

Turn on cloud sync

  1. Open Settings → Data.
  2. Tap Cloud Sync, then Set Up.
  3. If you are not signed in, sign in. New accounts use Sign in with Apple.
  4. Turn on Sync Enabled.

Do the same on each device, signed in to the same account. A green dot next to Sync On in Settings → Data means sync is running.

The web app syncs through the same account: sign in at fluxtime.io/app and your data loads in the browser. You can also let Claude read your synced data, read-only.

Check that it is working

Settings → Data shows Last Pushed, the last time this device sent its changes. Sync runs on its own as you use the app. To sync right away, for example before switching devices, tap Sync Now.

Apple Watch entries

The Apple Watch sends entries to your iPhone, and your iPhone syncs them to your other devices. If the watch shows Queued for sync, the entry reaches your iPhone once it is back in range. See Apple Watch.

Restore a backup

Open Settings → Data → Cloud Sync and tap Restore Backup to pick an earlier backup. Your devices switch to the restored data. Changes that were made on a device but had not synced yet are discarded, so sync every device before you restore.

Without Flux Pro

You can still keep your own backup. Settings → Data → Export → Complete Data saves everything as a JSON file, which is best for backup, migration and AI analysis. Exports include only your data, not sign-in state or internal sync details.

Turning sync off

Turn off Sync Enabled to stop syncing this device. Your data stays on the device. To delete your synced data entirely, delete your account from Settings → General → Account. That permanently deletes your FluxTime account and synced data. It does not cancel your Apple subscription; manage that in your App Store subscriptions.
