Answers about FluxTime on Apple devices, Free vs Pro, using it with Claude, TimeGPT vs Nixtla, energy vs time, and how it differs from similarly named products.
What is FluxTime?
FluxTime is the Apple-ecosystem productivity app at fluxtime.io (App Store id 6739938221, developer Ningyu Ding). It combines interstitial journaling, time tracking, tasks/events/reminders, energy analytics, and TimeGPT / UCEVI prioritization on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
Entity page: About. Product map: Features. Method: interstitial journaling.
Is FluxTime the same as other FluxTime products?
No. This FluxTime is the journaling and time-tracking app at fluxtime.io. It is not flex time (HR flexible hours), not the fluxtime.app workforce timesheet product, not FluxTime Studio, and not Nixtla TimeGPT. The crawlable comparison is on About.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, plus the web app in any browser. The Watch surface is templates and quick logging — a journal check-in, not a running timer. Apple Calendar and Home Screen / macOS widgets are part of the Apple stack; Calendar integration and Pro widgets are listed on Pricing. Current OS requirements are on the App Store listing. More on Features.
Is FluxTime free? What is Free vs Pro?
Yes — FluxTime is free to download. Flux Pro adds smart day planning, unlimited Flux AI, advanced Review insights, Pro widgets, cloud sync and backup, Apple Calendar integration, and your data in Claude through MCP. US reference prices already published on the site are US$4.99 per month or US$39.99 per year; actual App Store pricing varies by region. Full matrix: Pricing.
Is FluxTime TimeGPT the same as Nixtla TimeGPT?
No. FluxTime TimeGPT is a personal scheduler for time, energy, and tasks. UCEVI (Urgent, Cost, Effort, Value, Impact) scores what to do; energy ranking answers when. Nixtla TimeGPT is an unrelated time-series foundation model. Read TimeGPT: a scientific management system.
How is energy tracking different from time tracking?
Time is a clock. Energy is whether those hours can hold high-focus work. FluxTime derives energy from diary categories and Review heatmaps, then can place demanding tasks in high-energy windows. How-to: Track energy, not just time. Product: Features.
How is FluxTime different from Structured?
Both put your day on a timeline of tasks and events. FluxTime also keeps a journal of what actually happened and turns it into hours by category, goal forecasts and an energy curve. Structured also runs on Android; FluxTime runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and in the browser. Full comparison: FluxTime vs Structured.
Can I use my FluxTime data in Claude?
Yes, with Flux Pro. FluxTime has a read-only MCP server at https://mcp.fluxtime.io/mcp. Add it as a custom connector in Claude or Claude Code, sign in with your FluxTime account and allow access. Claude can then read your goals, projects, tasks, schedule, reminders, journal and categories to answer questions like “where did my time go this week?”, but it can't create, change or delete anything. You can remove its access any time in the web app. Setup: Claude and MCP.
Where can I learn how to use FluxTime?
FluxTime Docs explain how each part of the app works. Start with the Start guide and Concepts. Method pages: interstitial journaling and TimeGPT.
